The Birthday Pop Up card is a Karen Burniston
creation and is absolutely brilliant. I started with a 4.25” x 11” pink
lemonade card base, scored it at the 5.5” and folded it over. I then took a 12”
x 12” piece of American Craft’s Pebbles Peony Dot Cardstock and cut it to 4” x
11”. This is part of the Pebbles Basics collection and features a gingham print
on one side and polka dots on the other
I limited my use to the gingham sides for
this project. While the Pure Innocence overflowing joy has a Christmas
sentiment on the stamp set, it lends itself for year round use with “overflowing
joy” and “just for you” messages. I created the additional box on the front
with scraps and topped it off with an Impression Obsession bow..
Another of my favorite pieces is the
button border die from My Favorite Things. The card front design is strong
enough to stand alone which makes the pop up birthday component just one more
thing for a four-year-old to giggle about
