If you comment on any of the these cards, you will be eligible to win  a Rubber Stamp Tapestry Pottery Garden peg stamp set valued at $15.20. The winner will be announced on March 16 here and on our Scrappigators page on Facebook. When you see your name, send me your email and delivery address at diane@scrappigators.com so we can make arrangements to send you your peg stamp set.

Supplies needed:

1 Card Base of white cardstock
1 Rubber Stamp Tapestry Pottery Garden Peg Stamp Set
1 Rubber Stamp Tapestry Thinking of You Sentiment Stamp
1 ½” x ¾” Oval die or punch
The following Memento inks:
   Potter’s Clay (ME or MD801)
   Northern Pine (ME or MD709)
   Rhubarb Stalk (ME or MD301)
   Teal Zeal (ME or MD602)
   Cantaloupe (ME or MD103)
   Bamboo Leaves (ME or MD707)

NOTE: ME is the prefix for Memento full-sized ink pads while MD designates the dewdrop pads.

This is my second Rubber Stamp Tapestry card sample, and I am totally excited about sharing it with you.

 CARD BASE:

I created the card base by cutting an 8 ½” x 11” piece of white cardstock I purchased at Sam’s Club. I cut the cardstock in half for an 8 ½” x 5 ½” card, scored a line at the 4 ¼” position and folded it in half. That gives us an A2 card measuring 4 ¼” x 5 ½” folded.

CREATING THE DESIGN:

Cut your Oval Die and stamp the sentiment on it using Rhubarb Stalk (ME or MD301). Using a sponge dauber, edge the oval with Rhubarb Stalk and set aside.

To create the design, use the following guidelines for creating your image.

1.       Stamp the Pottery image with Potter’s Clay (ME or MD801) on the lower third of the page. Clean your stamp and return it to your storage box
2.       Stamp one evergreen branch with Northern Pine (MD or ME709) on each side of the five individual pots for a total of 10 branches. Clean your stamp with non-alcoholic baby wipe, stamp cleaner or water.
3.       Stamp two each of the Solid Eight Petals with Teal Zeal MD or ME 602) slightly above each of the five pots. Clean your stamp.
4.       Stamp two each of the Solid Eight Petals with Cantaloupe (MD or ME103) slightly above each of the five pots. Clean your stamp
5.       Stamp two each of the Pinwheel Flower with Rhubarb Stalk (MD or ME301) over each of the five pots. Clean your stamp.
6.       Stamp Accent Leaf with Bamboo Leaves (MD or ME707) randomly above each of the five pots. Clean your stamp.
7.       Stamp Evergreen branches with Northern Pine (MD or ME709) around the perimeter of the card front. Clean your stamp.
8.       Stamp Solid Eight Petals with Teal Zeal MD or ME 602 coming off of the Evergreens you stamped around the card perimeter. Clean your stamp.
9.       Stamp Solid Eight Petals with Cantaloupe (MD or ME103) coming off the Evergreens you stamped around the card perimeter. Clean your stamp and return to stamp storage.
10.   Stamp Pinwheel Flower with Rhubarb Stalk (MD or ME301) coming off of each Evergreen Leaf around the perimeter. Clean your stamp and return to stamp storage.
11.   Stamp Accent Leaf with Bamboo Leaves (ME or MD707) coming off of each floral arrangement around Perimeter. Clean your stamp and return to stamp storage.
12.   Place your oval die cut in the upper third of the page and lightly mark its position with pencil on each side of oval.
13.   Stamp two Evergreen Leaves with Northern Pine (ME or MD709) on each side of the two dots. Clean your stamp and return it to stamp storage box.
14.   Apply foam dot to back of oval die cut and place on card.
Your card is finished and now you’re ready to mail or give it to that special someone in your life. Thank you for crafting with us.
